Under Government guidance we can confirm the following statements.

“Work carried out in people’s homes, for example by tradespeople carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the tradesperson is well and has no symptoms.

“It will be important to ensure that Public Health England guidelines, including maintaining a two metre distance from any household occupants, are followed to ensure everyone’s safety.

“No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so.

“In such cases, Public Health England can provide advice to tradespeople and households.

“No work should be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild.”

What does this mean for our Tenants?

Please only contact us if the repair is essential such as a problem with the water or heating supplies.

Having reported the issue we will use our best endeavours to get someone to you as quickly as possible given the current difficulties.

We ask that if you are suffering any Coronavirus like symptoms or suspect you may have been in contact with an infected person, you please let us know immediately. Our tradespeople can refuse to enter a property if anyone is displaying symptoms and they were not notified in advance of the call out.

As stated above, in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded we are only able to respond where the tradesperson is willing to attend, we will of course explore every option.

Allow us the time to make arrangements, you are very important to us and we will prioritise calls however as you will appreciate these are unprecedented times and many things are out of our control. Our panel of suppliers may themselves have staff isolating and that will of course have a knock on effect.

Overall please rest assured you will have our total commitment to getting things resolved in the speediest time possible.
